Case Studies and Learnings from the United Arab Emirates
The World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network is leading a project with a global, multi stake holder group to co-produce tools that aim to embed best practices and minimize the risks for the deployment of blockchain technology. By bringing together public- and private-sector entities to share their lessons and insights on blockchain deployment, this project aims to reduce missteps and anchor effective methodologies within the technology. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is an important contributor to this project made up of leaders from governments, companies, start-ups, academic institutions, civil society, international organizations and experts across the globe. The need for collaboration when developing governance for new technologies, as well as a systematic and inclusive approach to such technologies, is critical.
